Spring Clean Up 2016

The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday April 25 through Friday April 29, and on Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

During Spring Clean-up, all appliances, trash and dismantled or unlicensed vehicles must be removed. Failure to comply can result in a citation. Appliance pick-up tags can be purchased at Township Hall for a fee of $5.00 each.

Spring cleanup will also include residential curb-side sanitation pick up for all Township residents the week of May 2 through May 6, 2016. Please have your material out by 6:00 a.m. These pickups will be done on the same day as the Muskegon Township sanitation routes in your area.

Curb-side yard waste pickup will start the week of May 2-6 and will occur the first full week of each month on your regular sanitation pick-up day. Yard Waste pick-up will be provided for Muskegon Township Sanitation Customers Only! The first full week of the month begins with the first Monday including Holidays, but subject to the Holiday pick-up schedule. All yard waste must be in paper yard waste bags. If you do not have Township Sanitation Service, you will be responsible for the disposal of your yard waste.

Muskegon Township operates a yard waste disposal site for Township residents, located at 101 N. Quarterline. A photo ID and a pass will be required to use the yard waste site. An annual pass is included in the cost of our sanitation service. All non-Township Sanitation customers wishing to use the DPW yard waste site are required to purchase an annual pass for a fee of $15.00. Passes are available at Township Hall and will be valid until November 30, 2016.

Residents with passes may bring bagged or bulk leaves, grass clippings and brush less than 4” in diameter to the DPW beginning April 2, 2016. Bagged leaves must be in paper yard waste bags. The yard waste site hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The DPW site will remain open until November 19, 2016, weather permitting.
